Skinny Pins

I was sewing last night on Meri's bridesmaid dress and the fabric kept snagging and pulling stupid with each and every stitch. I was able to pull and iron a lot of the snags out what a pain!

Thought maybe the needle in the machine was the wrong kind for this fabric, so I dug in my supplies box and found an older one that I could use. As I was switching needles I noticed that the tip of the current needle was really rough! No wonder! The new one was smooth but sharp and it worked great until I hit another pin and then the needle tip was bent. DANG!

I switched needles again and started pulling out pins as I sewed. I think I need skinnier pins...

But then again... don't we all...

  1. Those pins are TOO skinny!

When I sewed, I hated having needles where the very tip end broke off. What a pain!

  3. I've always liked quilting pins, the ones with the round flat heads? They are skinny and sharp!
