Cute Dress Alert!

I got the midriff and skirt attached last night. Robb was watching the new series of The Firm and had to pause it whenever I started up la machine. I'm so glad I have a patient hubby. I COULD have told him how it ends, but he was being so patient I held off...
So far I'm not liking how the pattern instructions want me to complete the waist.
How would you like to wear a dress that has some rough edges around your tummy? I'm thinking I'll sew a strip of lace onto each seam and hand stitch it onto the lining. Not sure if it will show through or not, but it should help.

It's turning out very classy and cute. I hope she likes it!

Next up, another fitting, 2 hems, an invisible side zipper and the trim around the top. Robb thinks I missed a shoulder strap.

Then CHECK it off my list!

    It's looking amazing so far. I love how in sewing you can change things up or make them better with a few little modifications.

    Ooh, I love it! I was hoping for pics soon, so I was exited to see this! Beautiful color too! LOL - my hubby would think a shoulder strap was missing as well. HAHA! Great job!

    Maybe you can sew a shoulder strap onto Robb's kilt if he thinks one is missing. ;)
