The last time I did any sewing was on Saturday night and that was just to cut the pattern out.
Anyway... The point of my blog post today is not that. I went to Meri's school concert last night. Took the boy! As if I can leave the house without him!! He's such a cutie! I went to change his diaper in the ladies restroom and can you BELIEVE the middle school isn't equipped with baby changing facilities??
Kind of reminded me of that last Malcolm in the Middle episode when they all got drenched with sewage and had to go to Malcolm's high school graduation covered in it. A huge empty circle of seats around them. lol!
I kind of kid. A few people moved at his first squeal, but when the band started, he jumped with the drums at the beginning of each song and was VERY focused on the kids. He sat quietly watching them and then fell asleep during a march!
Then the kids went and got their chorus robes on and sang. On one of the songs, Meri had been one of the few chosen to sing the really high soprano and I could hear her. She did great!
And I LOVE the song, Mairi's wedding! Unfortunately these 7th grade boys in the front row didn't have much rhythm and the clapping was off a bit... But that's ok!
And of course, Leon slept through that part of the concert entirely.

He. Is. Just. So. Stinkin'. Adorable!!
ReplyDeleteThe video wouldn't work for me. I'll try again later. I'm sure he was just singing. Really people!
ReplyDeleteHow could he sleep though it? I know how loud they can me. Cute kids, cute grandkid-you got it all!
ReplyDeleteKat has a school concert next month. Can I borrow Leon?
ReplyDeleteHe is so cute! I wish Hayley would have stayed with the flute this year, but she wants to try other things. I loved hearing her play. Great pictures!
ReplyDeleteHum wondering how he slept through that! My granddaughter would have been awake and cranky because she was tired :o/
ReplyDeleteSurprised he fell asleep with the noise!
ReplyDeleteGreat picture. very noisy area.
