LEAVING Room For Food

The piano bench is still sitting at the dining room table...

It's been that kind of a week.

On Sunday, we celebrated Easter.  Got up for earlier than usual church and a potluck breakfast that I I helped organize.  I'm actually in charge of meal planning at church.

I'm thinking Hot Wings for the next one... hmmm...  Everybody bring a spicy side!

It was a good service and meal and the kids looked good.  Leon didn't act good or even crack a smile until this photo AFTER church.  Most of the service, he lay on the floor grumbling about still being tired and had a small blanket wrapped around his head.  Then about half way through, he pulled on my skirt and whispered really loud as if he'd just realized, "I haven't eaten anything ALL day!!!"

It was only 8am...

Leon went to his moms afterwards and the girls and I headed home to get more food cooked.  I threw a ham in the oven, got some scalloped potatoes going and scrounged up about 15 pounds of leftovers from the previous big meals and we ate another big meal around 1pm.  I gained quite a bit of weight this past week...

This didn't help...

The girls and I rounded out our afternoon by seeing "My Big Greek Fat Wedding 2".  FUN!  We brought the popcorn refill home to Robb who didn't want to go with us.  The movie was ok.  Most sequels are...  ok....  But there were some funny parts and if I was Greek would probably appreciate it more.

But the movie is iconic and we quote from the original ALL the time.  WHY DO YOU WANT TO LEAVE ME???!!!  The dad said it better in the first one.

My brother used to call his own marriage, "My Big Fat XXXX Wedding" with the XXXX being replaced by my hometown church body's name.

But then Maddy wanted to leave...  So we helped her pack up her things and the car and waved until she was out of sight.  Since she had to fix up her GPS and get situated AND it was cold, that meant from the front window.  I could see that she turned on the dome light to wave to me again as she drove down the street.

WHY DO YOU WANT TO LEEEEAVE MEEEE!??!

Oh yeah.
