Nearly Wordless Wednesday

I took this photo at the Iowa Capitol Building in Des Moines on St. Patrick's Day.

Exactly what the history is behind these creepy dolls, that grace our government, is unknown to me.  BUT I knew it would creep out Maddy so I couldn't pass that up.

She gave up dolls when she and Meri still shared a room and all dolls were banished, including the American Girl dolls that the girls had collected so many accessories for.  It didn't help that their Grandma also had some dolls propped up around her living room...

I still have a couple bags of dolls in my closet just in case their kids don't have this particular phobia.

There.  Only a few words!

I love a good pretty doll, or the baby dolls that get dirty and tattered becasue kids play and love them so much. I agree with Meri on the creepy doll collection though. I don't like seeing them in od places, and some do take on a rather sinister look.

Bahahahaha, as long as we can do long term psychological damage we are great parents.

I have all my old dolls in the attic. They came out for a while when Rebekah was young, but now they are packed back up. Some are rather creepy. Did you see the picture of Amy Schumer's dolls on Jimmy Kimmel? Mercy. I would die of fright if I saw that in the middle of the night.
