Remember this dress pattern?
So... here she is.
Ok, a slight problem as I cut the hem too short. I was in a rush and didn't measure twice...
Bad me!!! She and I will come up with a solution this weekend and I will remedy that.
BUT she doesn't need to wear it again until the STATE FAIR!!!!
That's right!!! She won!
Well, not immediately. They called another girl as 3rd place winner and I thought, "WHEW! That was her main competition!!" Then they called another girl for 2nd and Meri's friend, Perla, and I were holding our breath for 1st place.
It wasn't Meri...
So then they asked each girl if they were already qualified to perform at the parade.
1st place was, 2nd place was and 3rd place was...
Well, they needed to send SOMEONE to the State Fair!
Luckily the judges had picked a 4th performer, just in case.
It wasn't Meri.
And THAT performer was already qualified to go to the fair too!
So the judges had to deliberate in front of everyone in hushed tones and then announced that MY Meredith gets to go to the State Fair!! YAY!
The video is forthcoming... Just waiting for Perla to upload it to Youtube.
Meri is pretty pumped. Perla is now her "agent" and they've got plans people!!!

Congratulations to her! I know she works so hard and will put on a lovely performance. I will wait for the video but excited to hear her.
Yippee!!! But what a nail-biter!! The dress is lovely and she looks lovely in it, especially now that it has arm holes! Can't wait to hear her performance!
