It's Leon's birthday weekend!!!! Him, his dad and a few close friends are going to spend time and $$ at a local Pizza Ranch/arcade. THEN on Sunday, we'll celebrate as a family.
I'll take one of the twins to a doctor appt tomorrow to get his stitches out. (A fall down the stairs last week) and then he and I will go find a cake and the fixings for Leon's party on Sunday.
I was NOT able to get the van started in time to get Leon to his 2 hour delay so I had to call the school. All in all, he would only have been at school for 2.5 hours (early out too)... They said, "shhh... just keep him home today."
I was able to get the car started finally by jump starting off of Ryan's car when he got home. The jump pack contraption made a breaker switch go kerflooey yesterday so nothing was working when I used it. But yay!! I went on a little car ride to charge up the battery again and today, when it was subzero weather, it started!! All 3 kids went off to daycare and I found out that Leon doesn't have school today.
ONE of these days, I'll dance around the living room singing "I'm ALL ALONE!!! WOOHOO!!!" Maybe Monday. and I'll turn the security camera off in there when I do that.
I've got a movie planned with my bestie late tomorrow afternoon. I don't know what we're going to watch, but am looking forward to it!
AND I had found a new Lonely Doll book that I'd forgotten I owned. The kids loved it last night and have requested that tonight I should read the one where she gets spanked by Mr. Bear. Um, ok... Jen has asked that I hide that one. :) But the doll!
Oh well. That's ok. These twins DO love the Lonely Doll books. I asked my sisters about them but no one remembers them. Several years ago, I remembered these books where a doll was posed for all the realistic pictures and lived with a couple of bears so I did research and found them. Most were published the year I was born. I'm guessing I saw these books at a grandparents or a lady that used to babysit me. I don't remember. Oh well again. I think they're cool.
Dolls creeped Maddy out, so I didn't read them much to my girls. And her being named after one. sigh. oh well. I still have her Madeline doll too.
