Thank you God for keeping your promises!
We had a great Easter! My kids got up extremely early with Robb so my daughter could do her paper route. And since we had our last Christmas photo of my kids with "A Christmas Story" obligatory pink bunny ears and suits... Robb asked the girls to deliver the papers wearing them. They were in good spirits and said "SURE!" Ryan flat out refused to help that morning. He would rather sleep in a bit later... They went early enough and only got caught by one neighbor who saw them...
And since it was still pretty brisk out, Meri and cousin hunted for eggs around the livingroom instead. I HOPE they found them all!
Robb and Ryan took off to get breakfast at the church started. The men of the congregation made breakfast and we came at 9:30 to enjoy it. GREAT meal! Our men can sure cook!
Church at 11:00 with communion. Our little choir singing "I Know That My Redeemer Lives!" We don't have a really structured choir, but every once in a while, for special occasions, we'll get some people together and sing. It was beautiful! I love singing alto and I think Meri does too. All the other hymns in the service, she and I sang alto for several of the verses. She likes to harmonize anyway, but she copied me.
We brought a college kid from church home with us to enjoy Easter lunch and desserts. Then he and Ryan played computer games for a while before Ryan ran him back to the dorms. Being away from your family during a holiday can be rough, can't it?
All in all, it was a very good weekend and a wonderful Easter.
Scenes of Easters past...
