Meri is the master chef at our house. She loves to do things in the kitchen. This was a day late last summer where she wanted to make supper, which was fine with me because I was busy preparing peaches for freezing. The Chef's cap is Robbs. He's a great cook too and we gave him that one year.
She took over the areas of the kitchen that I didn't need and made a fabulous dinner. I believe it was baked chicken, salad & broccoli. For Christmas that year, we gave her her very own Chefs jacket and omelet pan. If I keep the right ingredients in the house (eggs, shredded cheese, mushrooms, meats, hot sauce, blue cheese and/or fresh spinach) she'll make her own breakfast in the mornings. Cool, huh? 9 year old Alton Brown, at your service!

hot sauce? blue cheese? Sounds awful
If by anonymous, you mean Robb... You don't know what you're missing! I started adding seemingly disgusting things to my omelettes to keep the kids from eating mine all the time. I got hooked on the flavor combination. Gradually, Meri asked to sample a taste and now she loves them too. I won't even tell you her favorite way to eat them, because it's almost too much for even me.
