WooHoo! The SUN came out!

The sun came out this afternoon and suddenly everyone's glum moods cleared up, right along with the clouds! The girls had been grumpy all day. Can you believe it's the first day of summer vacation? Meri's got a bad cold and is taking everything wrong... and Maddy is being a big sister... So the day is perfect... Ryan is out of it entirely! He's off helping an uncle paint. It's so odd when the usual scapegoat is gone...

They went to the pool at 1, but it was closed because it was under 70 degrees, so they came back grumpy. Maddy made brownies with a neighbor girl. Then 2 hours later, the sun was out and the day warmed up all over. The girls are down there now and I am peacefully finishing my days work.

I plan to work on a niece's birthday gift this evening. I'm recycling a really cool jacket into a vest for her. Also taking parts of the sleeves for trim on a denim hat. I hope this turns out! At the moment, I'm not sure where my camera is... so I'll try to take pictures tonight.
