Sorry - those are lyrics of a song my husband sings every once in a while and then goes into a crazy falsetto for the next line. "Wishing you'd come back to me"..
Robb is out of town this week and I feel like an unwed mother. He is a delegate of our church at our Lutheran synod convention in Mankato this week. He'll be back on Thursday and I can't wait. The kids are doing what they want while I'm working, which isn't much, let me tell you... In the evenings, I'm exhausted after dinner and don't want to sew at all. Last night, the girls and I crashed on my bed and we watched the Devil Wears Prada. I hadn't seen that before.
"I'm doing a diet where you don't eat anything. Then when you feel faint, you eat one cube of cheese. I'm only one stomach flu away from my goal weight!" quote from movie.
It was pretty good. I LOVED the clothes!
Ryan, my eldest, is turning 18 on Friday. I can't even begin to believe that it's been that long. He's been trying to find a job since graduation and no one will hire him until he's 18. So here you go boy!!! Now's your chance! He's had fast food type jobs and one wonderful job where he did kitchen and prep work for an upscale restaurant. He LOVED that job! But it was only seasonal during the holidays. Now he's looking for something that pays more so he can afford college.
I'm picking up his big gift tomorrow night. He's going to be SO surprised! I'll tell you what it is on Friday.
Oh! The other day the kids and I were at Walmart and Ryan was checking out some cds. Some "frat boys", he calls them, walked by and said, "Hi Fabio!" then they ran off laughing at their clever joke! Ryan wasn't sure to take offense or not. Maybe it was a compliment!... Fabio is after all, very famous and has gorgeous hair, but then again... is old now with the same hair and now it's just silly... Ryan decided to take it as a compliment. So now we call him Fabio if he's in a good mood...

Yikes!!!! 18 years old....I can't even fathom what that will be like for me. I think I may just break down totally. Also...Devil Wears Prada is a darling movie. Too bad Claire is too young to watch it with me. I am alone with the Chick Flicks as of yet. You're lucky.
For some of the chick flicks, I still have to tell the girls, don't look! and I'll fast forward it or just tell them to cover their eyes. Or "don't you ever say that word!"
I am looking forward to the day when Maddy and I can curl up and watch a movie or even just a TV show that does NOT involved animated bunnies. LOL
BTW - Ryan is a very handsome young man - I am glad he took what could quite possibly been meant as a mean comment as a compliment.
