Killer Blog!

We had a gnat problem in our kitchen and I've finally tracked it down to that over watered ivy plant next to the sink.... So it's on the porch now... and I'm getting used to the counter having more space. It may never come back.

But in the meanwhile there are gobs of gnats in my house. It drove me NUTS! So I did a search on the net and found a solution where I didn't have to get the kids out of the house and I wouldn't have to hold my breath to blog. or anything toxic... and I had all the necessary supplies....

First I dumped bleach down the drains.

Next I put some balsamic vinegar in a bowl, put plastic wrap over the top and then poked holes in it with a pen. Those little buggers climb in looking for the vinegar and can't find their way out again. HA!

And then they drown... I've ALMOST got them all...

Of course, now I'm out of Raspberry balsamic vinegar... and who said you can catch more flies with honey than vinegar?? (granted - these are gnats...) I think my mom was just talking about how I talked to boys back then.... I think.

No, seriously, that WORKS! I do that too when they get bad because the neighbor has these rotten ass apple trees, and the apples fall and they get BUGS BUGS BUGS and they're SICK!
So anyway, yeah, little bowls of dead bugs all over the house. Gross, huh? :)

HA!! What a great way to catch them! Hey, I think all young girls should talk vinegar to boys til they reach age 21 or something. HA!
