As a break, I just got done watching an episode of Arrested Development and sucking down lunch. I'm tired. This Labor Day reminds me of one roughly 18.5 years ago...
My water had broken at 4am. After 24 hours of "labor", the doctor finally realized this baby ain't being born the normal way, so at 4am the next morning, I had to wait for the anesthesiologist to drive in from the country and for the rest of the team to assemble. At this point, labor was way intense... and all the Lamaze breathing went right out the window...
Via C-Section, my eldest was born. He weighed 10 lbs 11 oz... Wow. For obvious reasons, we named him Ryan. It means, Angry Little Monarch. Or Little King, or something to that effect.
He had to be in intensive care for the first few days of his life because he couldn't survive without the daily Snickers bars I kept in my bloodstream during gestation... And the nurses wouldn't let me give them to him...
So... with low blood sugar, he was the biggest baby in the little incubators. My sister-in-law saw the empty incubators thru the baby window with my son being the only one in ICU. She asked if he had eaten all the other babies. HA HA.
With my next two, my doctor and I opted for C-sections for them because I was afraid I was just destined for large babies. I was... The next was 10lbs 6oz, born on 10/6. Ironic, huh? The last was 9lbs 6oz and was the runt of the litter...
So... How are all your Labor

Those were some big babies. Lol about your sil and asking about eating all the other babies.
Hope your labor day is fabulous and you get all your antiques moved.
Ha! Reminds me of labor, ugh. My little boy's middle name is Ryan and it DOES mean Little Prince, Little King, something like that. :)
My antique booth is shaping up, but someone stole one of my hooks... arggg.
It's looking more full and after an auction tomorrow night, I hope it will fill up even more!
Lol on the comment from your sis in law!! Hope you day continued to be productive!
Snickers Bars and your sister-in-law's remark made me laugh out loud!
My babies went the other direction. The oldest was the smallest. She's the girl, so 8lb 12oz was fitting for her. My middle boy was 9lb 5oz and my baby boy was 10lb 7oz. I think it was time to quit! Not really. C-sections with all of mine, too.
I also have really large babies!! Both were induced before the due date and both were about 10 pounds. The second one had an even larger head than the first.
What a nice memory! Thanks for sharing. Love your blog by the way.
