Beginning the day with tears...

Sigh... Yesterday over my lunch hour, I started watching a movie that I'd tivo'ed. The Memory Keeper's Daughter. Then watched some before my shower this morning and finished it while Meri was in the shower. Robb and Maddy had left really early this morning.

So I'm watching the last 15 minutes when Meri gets done and she watched the rest with me after a quick "bring you up to speed". I'm sobbing my eyes out and yes... blubbering. She can't see how it would make me cry so much, but she hasn't watched the whole thing, so she wouldn't understand why it affected me like that.

Meri says that she can handle heart wrenching movies better than me... What's she basing this on? Fairy Princess Barbie movies?? I remember that she DID cry during The Little Princess. So did I. Robb just cried because I made him watch it with us. Just wait until I rent her Schindler's List!

Have you read the book? It's sadder than the movie...and the movie was SAD!

I'm not good with sad movies and I try to avoid them like the plague. But I did see Schindler's List, it was sad but I didn't cry. How about a happy movie?

I try to avoid sad movies too. I saw Schindler's List and it gave me nightmares for months!

I cry at the drop of a hat. I better get my kleenex box ready if I rent this one! Can you do a review of the movie so I can see if I want to rent it?

I cry during movies, too. My kids always look at me during the movie and ask, "Mom are you crying?" They think it's funny. They always laugh about it.

Yeah, Schindlers List, that'll teach her. Regarding your movie, I have not seen it but would like to. I will look for it the next I'm at the video store.

I read this book and thought it was SO sad. I can totally empathize with you crying your eyes out.
