Weekend plans - do they involve sewing??

I hope so! Tonight is the football game. Maddy is playing bells in the band and I think they're playing the theme from Riverdance! Can wait to see and hear that! I hope my camera isn't acting up...

Meri is doing a cheerleading thing tonight before the game! She's been going to 4th grade cheerleading practice all week and is excited to perform tonight. GO TEAM! and yet another camera wish...

I think Maddys bonfire will have to be cancelled tho. It's rainy, cold and windy. They're both going to be popsicles by half-time, so we'll probably skip the DQ ice cream run afterwards...

Tomorrow we're all headed in different directions. Maddy to a parade with her marching band, Meri and Robb to a b'day party and me to a LWMS mission rally where I'm the secretary. Lots of minute taking and typing tomorrow! The speaker is showing a slide show of his missionary trip to Africa. I've always been intrigued with Africa since my parents have been there on several missionary trips for their church. Being a missionary was one of the many career choices I went thru my senior year in high school. It lasted a whole week... The next week was an architect. Didn't hit the computer bug tho until the summer before college started.

Then on Sunday, church, ladies meeting & 4H clover kid fun fest. Maddy is playing her State fair piano piece for the Cloverkids. Should be fun. Then hope that I can put my feet up or rather, dig into my sewing a little bit. I need to get going on the Christmas presents and birthday gifts coming up. And sewing is relaxing for me.

For the nephews that I buy for, I'm making denim duffle bags. I've made a few so far testing out the pattern, so we've got a few floating around the house. I'm trying to be creative with each one, but teenage boys don't want cutesy... They've turned out pretty neat so far. So hopefully by Monday, I'll have at least one to post on here.

Hey - I just want to say Thank you to all my faithful followers! You guys are SO supportive and nice! It's such a boost to read your responses. I LOVE you guys!

Have a great weekend!

Sounds like lots of fun. I remember when I did baton twirling in grade school and junior high and we got to do stuff after the games/events. Except, you're right, it's too cold for ice cream today!

Sounds like one heck of a busy weekend. I have to admit it makes me want to restrict Punky's age right now. She's only 6 and she's already in too many activities!!!

Hope it is all as much fun as it sounds! have a good one!

You deserve every follower you have! You're a great blogger and a great follower too. Thanks for all YOUR comments!
And thanks for inspiring me to keep sewing. (I unfortunately need a lot of encouragement in that area--wish we lived closer and you could teach me. Or just do all my sewing projects for me--HA!! Kidding.)
