Confession letter

Dear Mom,
Remember 1984 or so when you found the Flashdance album (yes vinyl) in my room and were shocked at some of the song titles found on the back? In fact, I think you inhaled all the air out of the house...

Remember how you melted it on the gas stove until it bubbled and warped, then slid it back in the sleeve to see if we'd notice?

Remember how you nonchalantly asked me about it later that day and I said, "Oh, huh... It must've been one that Tammy left here when she moved out..." with an innocent look on my face?

Confession time... It was mine after all. Will I ever get used to hearing What a Feeling with washboards??...

Sorry for lying!

How can you call this a confession when your mom doesn't read your blog?

Man, I fell asleep at the drive-in theater in Riverside when my friend Cheri & I went to see Flashdance. I never have seen it!!

(But I do remember some of the soundtrack!)

Talk about a flashback. My dad was the music monster. I think some of my music choices probably raised his blood pressure.

Hahaha. Don't you just love those moments of inspiration when you are saved from horrible parent torture? Quick thinking.
