Happy New Year!! a bit late... it's been busy

Happy New Years everyone!!! Yes, it's 1/4/2010... I'm a bit late... It's been a long weekend!

Robb played bagpipes at midnight and some neighbors came out with their guests and took pictures! Sorry the video is so dark. One of my New Years resolutions will be to bring a flashlight out with us next year... It was at least -5 degrees F out there that night so Robb started playing at 11:59 instead. Whew! Was THAT cold!

The next morning, the girls and I took off for Nebraska and spent the day with my parents and a couple sisters and brother and their families, having our belated Christmas since Mom & Dad had gotten snowed in really good over Christmas. We had to park in the road while my brother and Dad snow blowed paths for us to drive in. There were drifts everywhere!

My parents purchased a one room school house and remodeled it. It's still in process actually... But it's out in the country surrounded by corn fields. No wind block to speak of, so the drifts have a wonderful old time drifting wherever they please...

After downloading my camera this morning, I found that one of my girls had a great time taking lots of pics of two of my nieces. Two little cousins only a month or few apart. Normally they play together really well, but on Friday, I'm thinking someone put them up to a fight... And I think Brooke is winning...

And I feel as though I must now shut my mouth about how cold it is here today or how much snow we had in MI . . . haha. Love the bagpipes!
