I suppose you've been wondering, "Why on earth does she have Hitching A Ride in her music playlist..." Or maybe not. But I'll tell you...
Recently I just friended an old old neighbor friend of mine on Facebook. She and I had been on/off friends all thru elementary school. I believe it was 4th or 5th grade, she and I decided we were going to do the Donnie and Marie style of syncronized dancing to the song Hitching a Ride, in front of the entire class.
We practiced for hours to her boom box and at the actual performance, (which we went thru with) I remember my face glowed like Rudolphs nose. In my memory, we were awesome and should have been snapped up by a visiting talent scout. The kind of which always hang around Iowa elementary schools looking for young talent. (that doesn't sound very good, does it?)
Hmmm.. I guess I missed my big break.

Southern Gal - That was either 1975 or 1976.
you were darn cute!! Imagine if they had had American Idol back then :D
I love finding old school friends on Facebook!
Hi,
I'm on SITS too, and since I found you through Friday Follow, I'm going to follow your blog. As it turns out, I love to sew too, and I was born in Iowa, but we moved to Oklahome when i was 4 and then to Texas where I've lived the last 20ish years. I still believe I'm an Iowa child though. Well, was that enough info about me? Oh yeah, and I've got an online fabric shop called Crafty Girls Workshop and since your blog was Sew Not My Day, I thought it would be interesting to read! I'm glad I found ya. We have some really cute patterns for girls that you may like. Laters!
Anna
