It's a Snow Globe life!

It started snowing again yesterday morning and everyone is freaking out... I was only at Sams to get a list of things we're out of. That's why my cart was so loaded down, so I had a good reason. Oh and to get some cheap pizza with my girl and wave at my son in the tire department...

Everyone else must have thought the blizzard would be insurmountable and they'll need ropes to get to their cars, etc, so they needed to stock up on Cheese puffs & hot cocoa mix. Or maybe it was the Super bowl last night.. One or the other... Doesn't matter really... they were FREAKIN out!

The snow is supposed to last until late tomorrow night. I refuse to snow blow until it has stopped. So just drive over it for now because I'm feeling lazy! And I don't need to go anywhere... my sewing group for tonight was cancelled.

The girls were wondering if there was going to be a snow day, but they weren't as excited as they used to be when they call time and temperature. It's starting to sink in that they'll be in school part of June now and possibly longer school days until then to get caught up, so now they WANT to go to school.

I just shake my head and look at the forcast for tomorrow. Good thing I stocked up on Spiderman mac & cheese for a possible lunch for the girls one of these days... (Maddy picked it out. Apparently according to her, the regular stuff is gross.)

So as the snow softly falls outside, I can't help but think and wonder... Why on earth am I living in a snow globe and who is the insane child who keeps shaking it?

Oh heavens! Snow sounds like so much fun when one doesn't live where it snows!! Snow days sound great!

Well Maddy is just plain WRONG....according to my Holly, only SPONGEBOB Mac and Cheese is acceptable to eat!
Where do these teens get these rules? LOLOL

It is a rarity when kids want to go to school! We are supposed to get a foot my Wednesday. I hate shoveling!

Very funny metapher (sorry you have to live in it!). ;-)

Did you notice the snow globe on my blog a few days ago with a cake in it? I thought it was so clever, the snow turning into powdered sugar for once. ;-)

Good luck with the school and all! :-)

I'm guessing that is not a "Happy Cow" since Happy Cows come from California. At least that's what the cheese commercials say.

I'm sure all the bad weather gets old after a while. Take care & stay warm.

ha! I think it is funny how the stores are packed right before a storm too...like everyone just forgot to shop until right then...but sometimes I'm right in it with them..so who am I to talk! ;)

we did not get any of the snow they were telling us...but they say a HUGE storm is on its way for Wednesday...so we'll see!!!

Glad you got that mac&cheese...I'm sure my boys would agree about the Spiderman stuff tasting better too!

We're expecting 8 to 10 inches here over the next few days too. Seems to me the media hypes everyone up. Without giving away my age...I remember real storms back in my day! These little bursts are a cake walk. Or maybe not! Take care out there.

We are suppose to have snow tomorrow and Wednesday. Still waiting to see if it will be a snow day.

We were going to go to ND for our granddaughters Baptism but now we cannot go because of the snow in MN and soon to be in WI.

I like your snow globe metaphor.

I know, they need to put it down! Not that we have any, but my family in Kansas can't remember what 40+ feels like!
