You know your kids watch too much tv when...

Meri was 3 or 4 and one day out of the blue, she started singing this song. We always knew she had a lovely singing voice, but opera??? and a commercial??? and isn't it sad that we can sing the entire commercial now too after all these years. verbatim...

I was reminded of this this morning when a commercial came on during the news about an annuity company that was NOT JG Wentworth and we all broke into the song that we knew so well... They don't even know what an annuity is!

I know it's pathetic. We sing so many commercials, too.

Thanks so much stopping by my blog, www.sewingwithtrudy.blogspot.com and commenting on my What I'm Wearing post. I'll probably do another one of those next week sometime. Right now I have posted a scarf refashion that I made out of a shirt. It turned out really nice. Have an awesome day!

I love how many of our beloved songs of our youth are now used in commericals. Something about that just makes the songs cheap...

This wasn't a song, but Patrick had me puzzled for a while when he was about three, when he went around saying with great enthusiasm, "No more searching for buried treasure!" It took his older brother David to explain to me that it was a line from an automatic cat box commercial!
