Afternoon out.

Since the kids had yesterday off from school, due to a kickin' girls basketball team that got to go to the state playoffs! Oh and they happened to win! But anyway, I took the afternoon off and spent it with Meri! We went to a ceramic painting place and worked on birthday presents for my MIL, whose birthday is coming up this month.
The pieces will be fired some time this week and I should be able to pick them up this weekend! Looking forward to seeing how they turn out!
Then ran a boatload of other errands, which included the DQ of course... before heading home to chauffeur more kids and then get to the dress rehearsal for Maddy's variety show. I took a ton of pics, some of which turned out. No cameras will be allowed this weekend during the actual performances, so a lot of parents attended last night.Got no strings on me! Tribute to Walt Disney.
All in all, it was a very good day!

It looks like a lot of fun was had by everyone. I think those pottery classes would be lots of fun.

I don't know if they have these shops around where you live, but you pick a ceramic piece, pick your colors and just go for it. Designing it any which way you want. No real class involved. We've made mugs and plates galore there. You should see our mishmash collection! maybe I'll blog about them another time...

Looks like you had a blast. And I love variety shows! Give us a good recap sans photos.

The variety show looks like it's going to be awesome. So do those gifts.

I'm a little iffy on a day off school thanks to sports performance, but that's just me. I came from a school that vastly over-valued sports and under-valued academics.

We have a shop like that but I've never been. Although I should. It looks fun! And that show looks really cute!

those paint it yourself pottery places are a blast. I got out of visiting once I started making pottery and now have an entire closed stacked with boxes! Used to do a handprint of my son each year too.

Sounds like a fun day. I've always wanted to go to a pottery place. And having DQ is always a high point for me!
