I had told my family about my blog eons ago and they visited once or twice to patronize me then stopped. (Look
Mimi! I used patronize in a sentence! - it's definition #1.) My husband reads it every day, I think to let me know when I've gone too far... and/or to see if I've mentioned him. (Hi Hon!) By accident I did find out that one sister reads it every day! (Hi Kristin!) That messed up a surprise gift for her daughter...
On my trip to Chicago this weekend, I discovered that my older sister got caught up on a few posts lately and had a bone to pick with me! (Hi Teresa!)
My sister Teresa. This photo sparked a volley of digital pictures back and forth in threats that they'd be displayed on FB. Apparently in my story about
our vacation to California, I put in there that we had stayed with some distant relatives that had the peanut shaped pool. She wanted to straighten me out that not all our relatives had pools and these weren't even relatives... I guess it was a pastor friend of my parents. o.k. But those were MY memories and if I had an inaccuracy anywhere, oops! That was the ONLY thing she didn't agree with but made it sound like I was weaving history with ALL my posts....
On the stories about my Dad, I did verify the facts on those and they are NOT figments of my imagination or a dream I once had. True stories, the lot of them! Dang... I just mentioned my dad and the crazy things he used to do. Bet I'll lose another follower... double dang...
So the whole time I was with my sisters and their families, they tried to guess who and what I'd blog about next. Paranoid! The LOT of them! Trust me tho... over the last few days I've gathered a plethora of blog fodder from those guys, it's not even funny!
Well maybe it is if you look at it through MY eyes...

Ha!! A+++ for using the correct use of patronize!!! LOL
My hubs reads mine every day and he comes home and freakin' tells me that I got part of the story wrong..and it's always like, "You said he had a red shirt on and it was blue."
Symantics.
I don't think any of my siblings read my blog. They're all computer-phobic to some extreme. One sister works for a large bank and refuses to use online banking and bill pay!
I don't think Shane checks in on my blog very often, but he'd never try to tell me I'd told a story wrong. He knows that I know about some of the fish stories he's told!
wishing I could take back the day I told a few family members about my blog. BIG MISTAKE.
At least your family sounds like good sports :-)
unrelated note: I just clicked on your "first date" post and saw the prom pic - too darn cute!!
it's your blog and your memories. i say you get to write whatever you want!
My son reads my blogs and he never comment to me if he likes them or not, oh well, I am not writing them for anyone in mind.So I say to you, write what you want, I have never read a post that I did not like.
"a plethora of blog fodder"-LOL!
I can't wait to see who you talk about next! I love the stories about your dad. And it's your blog write whatever you want. I would even make up some stuff just to see if they are paying attention!!
I have a huge family, (6 siblings). My sisters all read my blog. I don't think any of my bros do. But, I'm not even sure they read.
I'm just glad my kids don't read it!
And yes! That's what's so great about a blog. It's your blog and you get to write about whatever you want. So, give em that!
