It's OPEN THOUGHTS Friday!!!

What a fabulous weekend we've got lined up! Different relatives coming and staying almost every night this weekend except tonight. We're a nice stay over on the way to Illinois or Wisconsin relatives. Big sis on Sat, parents on Sun and little sis on Mon.Maddy was invited to go boating with friends and their family tomorrow. flit. flit. flit. (That's "social butterfly" to you and me.)

Finished my blue skirt for her last night. Turned out pretty cute, but compared to the outfits some of my fellow sewing enthusiasts make with all the felting detail, or wonderful little details that made Valentino so famous, mine is bland by comparison. My daughter is unavailable to model today, so maybe by next week I can do a little fashion show.

I showed my gothy hat that I made last weekend to my son and he's adopted it. He looks like Slash from Guns and Roses... just a little... except Ryan is blond.Sewed with Meri last night and her dress that she designed. Got a little bit more done, but have about 2 more seams around the waist for the elastic and the hem to do. We'll work on that tonight. She had a toothache last night and couldn't focus.

Meri picked out the photos that she's taken this last year and we accumulated 27 for her to take to the 4H county fair. She's limited to 12 with 2 already done. So we had to whittle 27 down to 10. It was heart breaking... If I critiqued one and said, well, the dogs feet aren't even in the picture, she'd snap, "Well! I didn't realize you HATED that picture!" I don't!!! But we gotta chop somewhere... sigh... poor thing. Only so many adorable pictures of puppies can be entered. I think I read that in the fair book.Watched the last two episodes of Happy Town online. ABC cancelled it! But at least I know now who was snatching the children... Good for a little closure but created more questions... Hope SyFi picks it back up.

Pull out your flags and show your patriotism this weekend! Thank you to all our vets in and out of service who protect(ed) and serve my country! I love you America!

Love the picture of the puppy stuck in the tree. Way too cute. I too love the fourth, especially when it's not too hot outside. I don't do hot and humid...
