So why don't you marry it!

A few weeks ago, HERE, I drove out to the Wisconsin and Chicagoland area for my nephews wedding, in my sister's 15 passenger van with her family and part of mine. We barely fit! She's got 6.5 kids.Well, I can't sleep without my cushy pillow. You know the one! The one that if it goes missing at bedtime, you go flip kids over in their sleep until you find it again. The one that I sometimes deliberately put High School Musical pillow cases on so no one will be tempted, but it doesn't always work...

I took that pillow with us on that trip. We'd be in a hotel for 2 nights and my neck gets weird-ed out if this pillow is not positioned just "so" around my head... We got back home around dinner time on Sunday and unloaded the big van of all of our things before my sister could finish her trek home with her kids.

That night I discovered it was gone! I started flipping over kids waking them up to make sure they didn't grab it. No luck. The next day I called my sister about it. Niece came to the phone instead.

Niece said, Yes they had my pillow and a yellow shoe. (?) My sis would mail the pillow to me but she had to wash it first. A toddler niece had wet it. *great*

Found out later that that was not entirely true and the situation not as dire as first niece had suggested. Just the pillowcase needed to be washed. Ok, I can deal with that. I had used one of Maddy's pillowcases anyway...

Instead of mailing it, I told her to wait until Robb got their computer fixed and delivered it. So a week and a half later, I now have my pillow back. Got it on Friday night!

That night was the best sleep I'd had in a LONG time! I actually slept until 8am! I don't remember waking up at ALL that night!

sigh.

I love that pillow.

Hi there! I had to laugh at your post....I also just LOVE my pillow. If we go overnight anywhere, my pillow and fan go with me...I gotta have that white noise! LOL

Poor peed on pillow! Thanks for the laugh and now you know to keep track of it when you travel or leave it at home so this doesn't happen again. But then there could be a fire, yes I think of these things!

I have 2 pillows I love. A wedge and a memory foam pillow. I finally got the exact combination of pillows to sleep comfortably.

I don't take them with me when I go somewhere, though.

All I can think about is that 15 passenger van...did you happen to ride in the very back?? So not pleasant.

Oh, meant to say, I am so glad your pillows weren't gone forever.

Once Hubby went somewhere and stayed in a motel. He left 2 of his pillows there when he came home. He had to get new ones.

Yeah, .5 kid? that .5 kid takes up as much room as 2 kids thanks to the honker of a car seat.
But I know what you mean about the pillow. Hubby is the same way with his pillow. He'll wake me up in the middle of the night just to tell me I have his pillow...
