Can you feel it? I'm feeling it!

It's a random kind of day! I'm definitely feeling it! It's been kind of wacky weekend and beginning of the week for me...

************************

Meri has her picture day today and spent 30 minutes putting on her face and fixing her hair and insisted on no touch ups for the order form. Um sorry... I filled out the forms two weeks ago when Maddy was insisting ON the touch up option... So if they see something that might be a zit on your face, well - it won't be when we get the pics back.

************************

Had to stop at the convenience store this morning for a 2 litre DDP (Diet Dr Pepper). We have nothing in the house that will keep me alert today. I like it on ice. a. lot. I think watered down ice cold DDP is the bomb! No - my dear F-bomb friends, not that kind...

************************

A big SHOUT OUT to Cintia at Aprendiz de costura! My newest follower from Brazil! Go check her out. I don't know how she found me, but thanks to Google Translate I can now follow her fabulous sewing creations on a regular basis. Google might be the devil, but it has some good aps.

************************

My dishwasher is fixed. It wasn't really even broken... but I spent two weeks washing masses of dishes by hand to find out that some food had clogged the drainage pipe completely. And I mean good! It looked like plastic when the Sears guy chiseled it out of the pipe. Just to let you guys know, this guy was great. He didn't even rub it in or say "HA! See? It wasn't the machine!", or even give me the impression that that's what he was thinking. Very nice.

Apparently this is NOT the dishwasher that you can put a whole cake into and it will chop it all up... Or steak bits... Or grease... I don't know what kind that one is, but if anyone knows, please tell me!

************************

Got Maddy's dress COMPLETELY done last night! All handsewing done while watching the rest of Rubicon and part of Tinkerbelle's Adventure. You can take a guess which was MY choice... and it's NOT a cartoon!

************************

Have you noticed how I emphasize my words so you can tell how COOL I talk? If you read my stuff outloud and emphasize the words that I put in caps, I sound SO Valley girl!

************************

My grandpa used to call me Valley girl before Valley girls were cool. How trendsetting was HE?

************************

If anyone is into stampin' up kind of scrapbooking, cardmaking, etc, I've got a bunch of stamps for sale in lots on Ebay. My button is on the right. These end tomorrow, but I've got a ton more that I need to get listed. A lot of them are being watched right now, so no telling how tomorrow will end up.

************************

I'm closing my booth at the antique mall. I know, right?! I lost money on it for a few months after Christmas and then from June until August I forgot it existed completely. I only remembered that I had a booth there because for about 2 weeks I was wondering what happened to a little dresser that I refinished when Maddy was a baby. Oh duh! Woke up in the middle of the night sweating bullets that the antique mall police had given up on me and gave all my stuff to the Goodwill... They didn't. and the dresser was still there with lots of wares in the open drawers. Oh well... I tried.

************************

Maddy turns 16 in two weeks. My son will be moving out again about the same time and letting her take over THE car. I'm taking back my sewing room about the same time.

************************

Sewing a boppy pillow for a niece for her baby shower this weekend. I've got all the stuff for it so it just takes the time to do it now... Plus, she's like a size zero even WHEN pregnant... I'm going to have to adjust this pattern a bit. Wish me luck!

************************

And for my bloggy friend Colleen! Did you have the baby yesterday?!

************************

Well - I think my focus is kicking in, so I bid you adieu. Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Wow. You are busy. Love that you have a follower from Brazil. I'm about to embark on a pleating/smocking/sewing adventure for Nora. A Christmas dress. Maybe if I start now I'll have it done by December 24th? I can always dream.

Nice update. You do talk really COOL! I tried the valley girl thing as a teen. It was fun. Although it was just a put on for me since I didn't really talk that way.

Yea for a soon-to-be 16 year old, new dishwasher that you didn't really need (sneaky. You planned this. Right?) and for your sewing room back. That should be heaven. And yea, You, for handstitching - I don't really enjoy handstitching. I love a quick project.

Today is my daughter's picture day too. Here's hoping it's a good one.

Can't wait to see the finished dress.

Isn't it just great that we can have followers and friends all over the world! I love that.

Sounds like someone definitely tested the limits of your dishwasher and lost. I'm glad it's not totally screwed though!

Love your randomness! Jealous that you can just sew something from wads of fabric! And cool that you have a Brazillian follower!
