I will spend my Veteran's Day....
Posting a BIG Thank YOU on Facebook & blog to all the service men and women who have and are protecting our great nation and our freedoms.
THANK YOU!
Laying out clothing options for my daughter as she packs for her first big weekend away from us. She's 10 and going to a scrapbooking craft retreat with friends in Minnesota until Sunday. I will expect many cell calls from her over the course of the next few days. She's nervous about being away from us this long.Finding a black shirt for my other daughter who is the stage manager at the high school play tonight.
Finding a sketch pad for 10 yo for trip.
Setting the bread machine up for a fresh loaf after work.
Cleaning house for a Pampered Chef party tomorrow night. If you're in the area, let me know! Because you are SEW invited!!! And if I can keep myself out of these mixed nuts and M&Ms, there might actually be some for snacking tomorrow night...
Upgrading a terminal emulator on my pc for work.
Laundry - duh... My son sent home two huge bags of clothes to get washed... plus ours.
Sewing will take a back burner until this weekend. I finally got my Salsa blouse pattern in the mail!!! I'll make a sample one on Saturday afternoon. hopefully..Yesterday over lunch I made a tote bag out of the brown felt blanket. It's lined with a big old pocket inside. nice... Not sure what I'm doing for the handles yet. That's kind of an afterthought. I think I'll get some metal grommet like things and make a handle with some extra fabric. This stuff is very heavy duty...The brown lining will be folded and sewn down. How do you like the little face on it? Meri said it freaks her out.
Again, Thank you to our veterans and military! My dad is a Marine and over the years I've learned a lot about what serving our country means. Thank you Dad!!! I love you!

It took me a long time to realize the dog in the picture wasn't real.
Yay for active military and veterans!!!
Tell your dad I said thanks too. 8-)
Now I want to get my bread machine out. I forget about it sometimes.
I don't think the face is freaky. I didn't really notice it.
I think the face is cute!
Oh, I hope you have something to keep yourself busy with the little one out of town. I'm sure she will have a great time though. Enjoy the party... and save some snack for your guests! :)
Thanks to your dad for his service.
My dad is a veteran, too, but he served when I was little, so I didn't learn a thing. :-)

Salute to your dad!!
