Mysterious odors.

It finally got warm this week. Last week we were in the zeros and teens, this week in the 50s and 60s. It's been nice.

foggy but nice...

But two days ago, my garage just reeked of gasoline. And I mean reeked! I walked all over it and sniffed around every gardening mower, snowblower, etc and didn't smell it bad there. But as soon as you come into the garage you smell it. I don't think anything is leaking and the gas container isn't even in the garage, so that's not it.
The bad thing is that yesterday the garage smelled somewhat better, but my office which is just off the garage took on the smell.

great... A fog of gasoline...

Today's not so bad. I'm wondering if a pool of spilled gas suddenly thawed and that's what the smell was but now it's dissapated...

Too weird. I hope it doesn't affect the hedgehog that lives in my office...

Not a great smell for any living thing. Hope you find the cause soon!

Did you ever find out where the odor came from?

....and, hows the little hedgehog?

Guess what?! It is 59 degrees here today (Thursday)...I don't think that my computer weatherbug could bear to actually say 60 degrees...LOL

Sounds strange...like something that would happen here. How is the hedgehog?

Just in case I'd keep all sparks and open flames at a distance.

Hope the hedgehog is well and the smell continues to dissipate. I wish I could figure out what I've been smelling here--it's making me nuts! No one else here smells it--but then I have a hyper sense of smell. Have a wonderful weekend. Take care.

my husband and I battle over this thing constantly - his leaky gas powered machines. One day his gas can sprung a leak from his dragging it when he put it away - ended up seeping through the brick from the outside storage unit which is attached to the house into the basement. My son and I could not believe the fumes - it was almost smoky. Of course, to my husband it was a HUGE inconvenience that we called him home from skating to investigate :D

I hope you aired everything out and all is well...
