I think that's why I have random days... like this one...
My DSL modem is starting to konk out. I have to reset it every single morning. We thought it was the router, but I'm starting to think it's that little silver box under my desk... dang.
I still need to mail in our Golden Retriever registrations... We're just a little past the due date on those... And our 2 year old "puppy" will probably give birth to more in about 9 weeks and 5 hours. Judging from the wild kingdom activity we've been witnessing in the back yard. I don't think either of our Goldens have any idea how things are done... So we may have more time than that.
On the sewing front... My nieces confirmation dress is done except for just a little hand needle and thread work. That can wait... I started making the top for Maddy's prom dress and fitted the first draft of it on her last night. I need to make some adjustments so I seam ripped it all apart last night. Hope I can get back to it before I forget what I need to do to it...
There are a lot of things on my mind lately. Work, home, family, extended family, dogs, projects, cleaning... sigh. Next week is Spring break and we're taking the whole week off for a vacation. I can't wait! Not going to do anything exotic... Mainly help my parents move and then hang out at home. Maybe do some day trips.
St Patrick's Day is next week and I'm looking forward to doing the pub hop with Robb's bagpipe band. If you're in the Des Moines area, let me know and I'll try and get you a schedule on where we'll be. With a Diet Coke at each stop, we'll be able to drive home in one piece I think! And with no stops because Robb doesn't like being seen in public in his skirt kilt without the rest of the band. Meri is dying to come along and be Robb's roadie. (Carrying his bagpipes, etc...) We used to take Ryan along until the last year when someone at the bar gave him a complimentary beer along with the band... Um, nope! You can take that back. This very tall kid is only 17!
We HAVE had a few young visitors come see us. Like my niece. and the daughter of another piper. My niece with Ryan. He collected as many green necklaces as he could that year.
Then later on next week, we're having our traditional Irish dinner with our dear friends. And Maddy wants us to do a duplicate of that the next night for her boyfriend and his family. We should be all dingle pied out by that Sunday!
OHHHHH!!! I need a vacation!!!!! and a chance to sleep in!

Den's Irish so he loves everything to do with St. Patty's day.
I hope that you get to actually relax when you get your week off. Probably not knowing you. Anna and DJ are off separate weeks so we will see how that goes.
Foggy mind = great mind?
I hope so because mine sure has been foggy lately...
Hope you get a chance to relax and enjoy some of your week vacation :-)
Blessings,
Jill
Dingle pie?! That sounds awesome.
Love the kilt joke only because I know men aren't suppose to wear anything under them ;o)
I always like a man in kilt! The pub hop sounds like fun. We have spring break in about 3 more weeks. Can't wait!
I feel you McVal!
You have a full plate~
You deserve a relaxing vacay!!
Oh boy! Pups? We just went through having pups... super fun, super exhausting. It is really neat, though.
Snort! 'skirt' - kilt (hee, hee). I love the sound of bagpipes. Wish I lived closer 'cause I'd for sure come out and partay with y'all!
Can't wait to see the prom dress. I though the last dress you made (the black one) was beautiful!
