And I left my camera at church... But remembered that I have an Ipod! So I took pics the rest of the day with that.
ALL the kids wanted to do the hunting and not be the hider! Okey doke! So Robb (first year in a LONG time) and I hid all the eggs and candy. His favorite hiding place was sticking the whole full 18 count egg box on a branch and call it good... At my laughing insistence he hid them individually. I hid the candy everywhere. When the kids began the hunt, I was surprised that they knew HOW to pick up in the yard. Another hidden talent I'll need to tap in the future. However they left all the Mr Goodbars because none of them liked them...Hello!???! I like them! Pick them up for me!
Here are the girls Easter dresses. They just grabbed whatever shoes to go egg hunting...Of course, Ryan found the most of the real eggs and someone was upset because of that... So after wards they dumped everything out on the table and they traded this for that and eventually everyone was happy and sugared over sufficiently.

Oh, I love all of your Easter traditions...you are a much more fun mom than I am on Easter...I am going to borrow your candy hiding for next year. I thought my kids were too old this year (14 and 15), so I just hid their baskets in their rooms...but they were sorely disappointed. Sigh. I think I need to go back to hiding candy until they have kids of their own...
I've never heard of hiding the candy, too.
And I like Robb's idea of hiding the entire carton. Too funny!
Who doesn't love a Mr. Goodbar?! Your kids are weird! LOL
Looks like a great time though, and I'm really liking Robb's way of hiding eggs. LOL
I'm with Mimi... Mr. Goodbar? Yes please! ;)
Great pics! I'm glad the big kids still like to hunt for eggs!
Pretty eggs and candy. I didn't buy a single piece this year except for one Cadbury egg for me! The church kept Ethan in supply for weeks to come.
I made the cookies with my new professional KitchenAid mixer and only ran it for 12 minutes. My old mixer I had to go for 15. Mine were very fluffy so I may need to back up on it a little. I've eaten more of them than anyone else. Time to run. Yuck.
It looks like you had a wonderful weekend. And you didn't sew anything. I'm shocked and horrified. Just kidding, I'm afraid that that comment will set you off into a sewing frenzy.
Looks like great fun! :-)The pictures are wonderful, like the candy tower lol :-) Have a great afternoon!!
Blessings,
Jill
We never did the hiding of the candy. But then I would be afraid to thanks to all the animals we have around here :o/
Can't hide the candy around here...dogs would eat it in a heartbeat! Love those dresses!
Leave it to your husband to try and speed up the hiding process; mine probably would have done the same :D
