I Can't Even Imagine!

Today on FB, my bloggy friend Clodagh mentioned that she'd NEVER had a Reeses Peanut Butter cup in her life until today!

Can you imagine??

I "KNOW"!!! Me neither. Boy, Clodagh, you've been missing out! Oh and another candy you should try sometime is Twin Bings. I'm biased towards them because they're made by Palmer Candy company in my old home town and I've grown out up on them. My husband hates them. He's not a nut fan... Who knows how he ended up with me!

So anyway, it reminded me of the Taste of Home Grill It cookbook that we gave my husband for Father's Day. We browsed through the book when he got it on Sunday and found the most awesome dessert in it and I'm going to share it with you right now!

Warning - you will gain 6.2 lbs just from reading this recipe. If you're underweight then this is the recipe for you! If you're not, then oops, sorry!

Peanut Butter S'Mores

8 large chocolate chip cookies

4 teaspoons hot fudge ice cream topping

4 large marshmallows

4 peanut butter cups

Spread the bottoms of four cookies with fudge topping.

Using a long-handled fork, grill marshmallows 6 in. from medium-hot heat until grolden brown, turning occasionally. Carefully place a marshmallow and a peanut butter cup on each fudge-topped cookie; top with remaining cookies. Serve immediately. YIELD: 4 servings.

Yeah - right... It's more like 2 servings if you're honest...

Enjoy!

My hip size just expanded! ☺

Confession time...While the kids were playing last evening, and I was cooking dinner, I pulled out some tongs and my secret stash of marshmallows and 'roasted' them over the gas stovetop. Didn't even invite the kids to try one...ate them all myself. ☺

Thanks for the recipe. I'm so going to try this! Happy Wednesday! ☺

I've never even heard of that twin thing but I concur that it isn't worth living in a world without PB cups.

No comment on the 'living with a nut' part......lol

Hadn't heard of the twin candy thingy either but Reese cups are my down fall! I can eat a whole bag of them bymyself. Best ones: the mini bite ones that come unwrapped, in a bag. You can actually eat them by the handful without all the work of having to unwrap them.

I also love the mini Reece's cups. They are the best. Also good when you stick them on top of a peanut butter cookie straight out of the oven. Heaven....

Oh that sounds very decadent indeed! I love all of the ingredients you mentioned. Yes it was first for me today and yes I did go back and finish the the other two and then after a major meltdown evening with my 3 year old I opened the remaining packet and ate 2. I am doomed. Will just have to not buy them.

I have yet to try the S'mores. Is a Graham Cracker sweet or salty? Wondering what the equivalent would be here.

Do you do a lot of grilling? I love the thought. Yummo, this is making me hungry!

I am a chocolate and peanut butter gal, and you are giving me cravings. I read about the Twin Bings in Steve Almond's book "Candyfreak" (a fun book, I recommend it) but have never seen or tasted on in real life.

Those Palmer candies look like Mountain Bars. Which I LOVE.
