Every morning I get caught up on a little Tivo watching before I get out of bed. So I awoke a little later than usual and after the hubs left the room I watched some of The Killing. Ever since Harpers Island, I've loved murder mystery mini-series set near rainy Seattle.
I'm weird, I know...
Oh who am I kidding?! In the 80s I LIVED for Thursday nights to get my fix of Twin Peaks! Although that was in a different part of the country...
I took a short break to get ready and try and find a box of computer stuff for my husband, then back to watch the rest of it. The next episode is the finale so it's getting pretty intense... But I still think they're still wrong about who the killer is.
So it's 7am. Robb and Meri had left by this time. I always have a slug of things to do between 7 & 8 when I go out to my office, like a batch of laundry, breakfast, dishes, take care of big dogs & puppies... The puppies have taken over my mornings in the last 5 weeks, so that's a biggie.
But I rationalized my time. I can take just another 10 minutes and watch the rest of this episode, or I can wonder away the morning at work, then watch the last bit on my lunch break.
I sit and watch the rest.
So it's 7:10. I get a text.
"I'm awake! Don't bother calling me please."
GASP!
I am Maddy's early morning wake up call while she's at Jazz band camp! And I was supposed to call her at 7....
I'm a slacker and this will be a long day.

MacGyver has been out of town, and I've been quite enjoying watching some Bones in the mornings, too!
A little slacking is good for the soul.
Years ago I was that way with Buffy. Couldn't leave the house until I saw the end. Yes it was a hard adiction to break :o9
Twin Peaks series were so gooood!
I still remember the hauntingly beautiful soundtrack!
Oh! Okay, this is the second time I've heard of The Killing and how good it is. :)
ahhh thrillers! I haven't watched one of those in awhile! My husband hates horror lol
Love the picture of the puppy!!
Have a great week!!
Blessings,
Jill
I LOVE thrillers...and, you know I have never seen ANY of those series???
But, I could while away the hours watching lots of things...and 10 minutes late is nothing...I've done things like that before. And, much later than 10 minutes. No wonder I relate to you so well...
Loved Twin Peaks. I'll have to look up those 2--I'm so not up on TV or movies and such. I'm tired just reading all you have to do early in the mornings!! Take care.
Hubby and I really like The Killing. Can't wait for the finale.
