We wear short shorts!
Maddy finished her shorts last night! She was insistent on wearing them today.
She hand sewed on the waist fasteners and hemmed it. Since I was really running low on steam last night and saw that we had misunderstood how the cuffed hem was supposed to be, she decided to ignore the cuffed part and just hem it.
She serged off about 1.5 inches and then folded it up to where she wanted the hem to be and stitched it into place.
They are done!Meri came to me just now and really wants to get her dress ready for Saturday mornings judging now too... Or at least make a definite stab at it.
I guess I know how tonight and tomorrow night are going to go... I need some Tylenol.

They're great! But now I'm curing you a little bit because I've got "Who Wears Short Shorts" going through my head.
So glad you are passing along your skills to your kids! That's how I learned and it has stuck with me ever since.
