As long as he leaves alone my episode of Sewing with Nancy, where she does a fantastic tutorial on scarves, it will be safe. Hear that honey?
For that I don't even care if that one episode of Dave the Barbarian stays on the tivo forever either. As long as I don't have to hear the Donkey song every day...
Anyway, back to Oh
Plus it really bothers my mother in law. She's from Kentucky and thinks the movie is making fun of her personally. Um.. That's kind of how they talked then... If she liked the accent so much, why did she work so hard to lose it? Well... most of it...
Last night at the school concert, we sat in the 2nd to the front row... Our usual. Big mistake... There was a big cabinet set up on stage for some sound. It's never been there before and had speakers set up on top of it. VERY awkward to video tape them. I video taped all of Maddy's performances as they will be featured at her graduation party on a continuous stream on one computer in the living room. And she likes to hear them again later to see how they sounded.
One of the mixed chorus songs was Go Tell Aunt Rhoda.... I remember her singing that for a performance in Kindergarten! I was surprised it was on the program! But after hearing them sing the high school rendition, I was ready to break down in tears and go find Aunt Rhoda myself! That poor woman and all it's goslings had just lost a dear dear soul... *sob*
Don't worry! I'm getting to what I was gettin' at! I also recorded one of the bass group songs. Constant Sorrow! The only thing I thought they could have done better was perhaps to act more energetic and bounce around on the stage acting goofy.
Or at LEAST wear a beard...
This would have contained the video but it took 4 hours and still wasn't done... So eh... Enjoy the original from the movie. Just pretend they're a bunch of high school boys with bad hair cuts.

Oh man. SO many people LOVE that movie! :)
My hubby loved that movie, too. I'm glad we don't have a Tivo. :) I liked the movie, but it's bad enough that we have the Band of Brothers DVD set. Seriously.
We love that movie! One of the few that I have actually watched multiple times. We love the soundtrack, too. Could (and have) listened to it over and over again.
D***, we're in a tight spot. Ha!
Can't see the video. We're going to have to pull that one out again soon. And maybe it's because we're in the south, but we always sing it "Go Tell Aunt Rhody". Ethan played it on violin for his recital a few months ago.
Seriously....I LIVE in Kentucky and I LOVE that movie. It just is what it is....
Uh oh...i've never seen that movie...hmmmm wonder if it's on Netflix?
Blessings,
Jill
