Oh... I made nice with the neighbor last night and took over some bread that I had baking yesterday along with an apology for being rude to him. I guess we'll not have to hide at school events now... Whew! That was going to be difficult.
Parent teacher conferences coming up next week! I can't wait to hear what the teachers have to say about my girls. Really! I enjoy these. Didn't use to at all, but I've grown up since the first several. As have my kids...
Biscotti recipe on Monday along with pics of the process! If I did it today, all I'd have to show are the same photos I showed yesterday. B.O.R.I.N.G... plus I want to make them a little differently so we're not dipping tree branches into our cappuccinos. Delicious yes... but a wee big.
Looking forward to sewing a little this weekend! OK, a LOT! I've been working on a fly away vest for the past two weeks. The first attempt was with some fabric that just shreds when stitched. YUCK. SURE it's pretty, but I think it's only meant for french seams and a patient person. The second attempt is in a cotton tie dyed yellow. If I get it done, I'll show you next week.
Trying to get caught up on laundry today. Well, and yesterday... The newlyweds brought down their laundry after giving their area a firm cleaning. Heaps of clothes... Got it ALL done yesterday! 6 loads I think? Today is the day for the rest of our clothes.
There is a very interesting bird outside my office window that is brownish and has an orange Mohawk and orange beak. Anyone for a guess as to what it is besides very pretty??
Off to work. Hopefully it won't be so busy that I don't get a lunch, because that's TERRIBLE! AND I really want to watch the 2nd episode of the new Doctor Who during my lunch today. In all my life, I've only seen maybe 5 minutes total of that show and only with THIS season I get hooked. Go figure. My husband had tivoed it so I don't have to stay up until 11:30pm to watch it on public tv like I'd have had to as a kid. Of COURSE I did that for Red Dwarf, but never saw this. VERY easy special affects, but interesting story lines.
Have a GREAT weekend!

Morning! Today's a teacher work day, and the associates don't have to go in! *yeah!* I think perhaps your bird is a female cardinal? (Check out google images and let me know!)
Also kudos to Meri for doing her own thing! That independent streak means she can think for herself...not a bad trait to have in this sometimes wacky world!
Did you ever get any prints made up of the wedding pics? I'm hoping they turned out ok! ttyl!
ACK!!! Kitties in a bucket!!!
I don't know whether to laugh at that or scream. Hahaha.
Meri sounds like she has a great sense of humor.
So did YOU do the 6 loads of the newlywed's laundry? Hum, I thought so....;o)
We're studying birds right now. Only we're mainly studying birds of Eastern United States. Sounds interesting. Take a picture like I did of the snake. ;)
Loving those sweet kittens. I always dislike conferences....even when the kids are good! lol
So are you keeping kittens instead of puppies in the garage now?
Love that your daughter is so creative and spirited! Cute kittens!! Have a wonderful weekend!!
Blessings,
Jill

I miss the teacher conference thing. At my son's school you only have a conference if you request it. I miss them gushing about my son ;-)
Love that first pic!!
