You Say Potato! I Say How Many?!

One week ago from today was our annual St. Patrick's Day meal with our dear dear friends. One of our nieces was able to come too, so it was a really full fun table! Robb and I shopped that morning and cooked all afternoon.

And I mean ALL afternoon. It was so good to sit down at the meal and get off my feet!

The menu involved...

* Dublin Coddle !!
* Dingle Pies
# 3 Fish Terrine with spinach
* Colcannon
Plain mashed potatoes for the picky
# Parsnips and Pears
Boiled Cabbage
Blackberry Crumble !!
# Prattie Apple Cake :P
Apples and Red Cabbage
* Leeks in Cream Sauce !!
* Brown Bread

We had cooked up 15 lbs of potatoes for this shindig! Can you dig it?! whoa.

He and his wife are Meri's Godparents and a couple of our closest friends ever. Ada and I have had a set lunch date every other Monday for the last 13 years and I love her dearly.Leon put in an appearance with his St Patty's Day garb and somehow we garbled the pic of. I'll have to catch him in it again before he outgrows it.

He really DOES love this outfit... Someone must have been pinching him...

So anyway. There was literally tons of food with tons of leftovers. The kids are begging for "new" food. I just finished up the last loaf of the 3 fish terrine yesterday for lunch and I think there are still some parsnips and pears left. I'll probably do that for lunch today.

So NEW food for the weekend, starting tonight for Robb's birthday dinner!
