I live in a random zoo

* I attended the Pella Tulip festival parade with Robb again this last weekend.  Well, I enjoyed it, he had to march.

* View of the tulips at Pella this year.  Apparently we missed them 2 weeks ago.  I hear they were beautiful.

* Got to witness my grandson getting baptized on Sunday!
* Been looking at a pretty dress that was given to us and wondering if I could chop it down to a dressy skirt for Maddy for Girls State...

* Mourning with my parents and families over the loss of my uncle on Monday.

* Mourning with my son and his wife over the loss of her grandmother yesterday.
* It's been a rough week.

* The lilacs are finally blooming and I can't wait to bask in the scent!

* Get to see Maddy sing with her girls group over my lunch today.

* Enjoyed Meri's school concert last night.  Sat in the very front row and got a good video of the directors backside.

* Robb discovered that Leon loves whistling...  10 minutes solid...

* The puppies eyes are close to opening.

* Meri got a kitten.  Her name is Oppa and lives in her room.

* We ARE the "We Bought A Zoo" family.  Or should it be "We Are Fools Enough To Create Our Own Zoo" family.

* Last count of critters in the house/garage. 13.  14 if you count Mr. Darcy, the goldfish.

* I'm gone to a funeral tomorrow.  I'll talk at you guys on Friday!

I'm so sorry for you losses. That is so hard that they both went so close. I hope that everyone gets some time to heal.

Sorry about your uncle, your daughter in law's grandmother. Sometimes I think God gives us these events to remind us that life is short, live it to it's fullest. Even if it means a house full of people and animals.

Man, a crappy week. :( At least we can take comfort in knowing that they are in a much better place.
Your grandson is getting cuter every day, I swear!

I love the fact that you have a goldfish named, Mr. Darcy.
