She's a Crafty One!

I mentioned yesterday that my 17 year old is babysitting over the summer for a neighbor.  Maddy did so much research on Pinterest that she has activities lined up well into July already!

Every night she has a new concoction or recipe sitting on the counter.  I saw one yesterday and thought, YEEACH!  That doesn't even SOUND appetizing!

And it wasn't.  It was a recipe for edible finger paints, which she made for today.

So far they've...

gone on an adventure exploration of our town,

playing on the school play  ground with their new adventure packs (apparently they're NOT purses!).

visiting our puppies

gone swimming where Maddy got a very bad sunburn already, THIS early in the summer!  She soaked in cool tea in our bathtub for a few hours last night.  The tub afterwards looked disgusting...


made pet rocks.  LOTS of them!  Where'd you get such big rocks? I asked...  Oh there were a bunch sitting on a curb next to some bigger ones.  Oh dear... that's called landscaping...

She was up late last night baking cookies for the girls to decorate today.

I think I gave birth the next Martha Stewart!
