Looking forward to the 95 degree sunny weather today. I know... That's weird! But it will complete the drying out process of the kitchen rugs I've got on the deck that I scrubbed the heck out of on Sunday... I miss having the rugs in there. Too much wood floor for Leon to crash into when he's crawling or trying to pull himself up. Plus he'd have better traction on carpet.
Not looking forward to a phone call I need to make this afternoon... I HATE telling someone that we're going to have to stop attending for a while... Life is too stressful right now to keep up this class and I really feel like we're going to let down the teacher... and a few others...
I started deep cleaning in our bedroom and closets last night. I want to move all my sewing things OUT of the dining room and get it back up there. It'll make the dining room seem less cluttered, I'm sure.
I feel like if I can get organized in the house, maybe my mind and the problems I'm dealing with will sort themselves out and I'll be able to handle the stressful things a little better...
On Saturday night, Robb, Meri and I watched Cowboys and Aliens with Leon in the living room. I laid on the floor to watch and that was a big mistake... Ever since then my neck and right shoulder have been sore and stiff. It makes certain things, like turning to see out the window difficult. Good movie tho! That Daniel Craig... Is there ANY movie where he doesn't get the snot beat out of him??
If you can read things well that are far away, but need reading glasses for up close reading.... Is that far sighted or near sighted??
On Saturday afternoon I did some sewing. I'm attempting to make this dress out of some fabric that I found in my stash as a practice dress for the wedding I'm attending in October.
My plan is to make the dress length be somewhere in the middle of the two lengths with a slit. The designer is Connie Crawford, who used to be an independent designer until (according to some) she sold out and works for Butterick now. I'm totally OK with her working with Butterick! The pattern is cheaper!
However the size that I picked has the princess seams on the outside of my breast area and it's just sitting weird... I'm going to have to rework some things and probably cut it out all over again. BUT dang. No room to do it. There are days I really miss having a sewing room. Maybe with my next family.
Whenever I tell my hubs I want to do something that he doesn't really want me to do, he says, "I'm sure your next husband will have no problems with that!"
I typically respond, "You're right! I asked him and he said Go for it!"
And just so you know... I'm a kidder. There is no next husband and no next family for me. I just looked up on Google which animals mate for life, to compare my relationship with my husband. I thought it was funny that termites and vultures do... I don't think I'll use those for a comparison...
Well... Better get back to the old grind, so we can get this day going! Have a good one!

It's farsightedness. I think it's called presbyopia if it comes on with age, and hyperopia if you have it as a child. I have presbyopia; Kat has hyperopia.
We watched Cowboys & Aliens recently, too. It was our first time to see it, although it's been out for a few years. We liked it!
If I try to get Shane to do (or stop doing) something, he always says, "You never complained when we were dating!". Only...we didn't date. We moved in together just four days after we met. So THAT excuse just doesn't fly with me.
I keep saying that I want a craft room too, just as soon as someone, anyone, moves out, I'm converting their bedroom. Of course it doesn't help that hubby is claiming that room for himself too :o/
Yes, that is the farsighted thing. I am with you on the being overloaded thing. Whew.
Hope your neck and back feel better, I hate when that happens :-)
Remember to take some time for you and RELAX. I know easier said then done, but sometimes necessary!

I think that if you let a few things go you will feel better. And I always function better in a clean and organized house. I guess I should get cleaning and should probably organize a bit too. LOL
