Traffic tickets I have gotten in my lifetime...
In teenage years...
Driving 50 in a 35. It really felt like a 50 mph stretch of road... The policeman even said so! But it was 35.
Seems to me there was another one... but I don't remember the deets.
In my 20s
Within 3 months of our wedding, got a speeding ticket on our way back to visit family. When signing the ticket, my dear new husband said, "You need to sign YOUR name!" Oops... I'd been in automatic mode and signed my maiden name... The policeman thought it was funny and he said his wife did that once too.
Got a ticket for not wearing my seat belt when I was pregnant. I learned my lesson and that never happened again!
In my 30s and up
I'm sure I've gotten at least a warning here or there. Don't recall exactly. I'm old and don't remember what I had for breakfast. No wait, I DO remember breakfast. I just can't remember the last piece of fudge I ate! No wait...
But if you ask my husband to give you the same list... it's a little longer.
Found out from a lady at the grocery store that my driver's license had expired a few months back. OOPS! Got that remedied before it became a situation and now check it every stinking birthday I get to have.
You learn from the tickets and become a better driver. Not that I'm stellar!!! But I'm more focused on my driving than I used to be. As my dad once said, "You're driving a two ton bullet!!"
Why do I bring all this up, you ask? I've got my reasons... But they're to reassure someone that things like this happen. And it's not the end of the world.

I've only gotten a warning ticket out of four times being stopped. But the little accident I had last month broke that record. Bummer. Love the forecast.
I didn't get my first one until 25, but then, oh boy, did they start coming fast! I had so many points on my record at one point that I got a 30-day license suspension just because of speeding. Drove on the suspended license anyway.
I've calmed down a lot since then and haven't had a ticket for quite a few years. (Knocking on wood and setting my cruise control...)
Reminds me...need to get my lead umbrella for Friday...
1 ticket my whole life(so far).
I was 18, driving my brother's Mustang for the first time. Didn't realize scenery was hurtling by at 60 in a 35 zone it was such a smooooooth ride!
Like Sluggy, only 1 speeding ticket. I was 16 and just washed my car - was speeding to dry it of...
The rest were warnings.
A cute forecast!
I don't want to jinx myself but.....I've never gotten a ticket :-) LOL
Have a wonderful week!!
Blessings,
Jill
I once got a ticket for doing 110 in a 55. Oops. It wasn't pretty and I had to sit in the police car. Believe it or not, I had a great time and had the cop laughing. He told me I reminded him of his younger sister. I told him that I was telling mom that he was writing me a ticket!
On Friday you will get to know what a Houston summer feels like. LOL!
I'm still wearing mine while pregnant but I put the top strap under my arm because it's more comfortable, figure that's better then nothing!!
