Wow! First Friday in a month that I haven't reviewed three months of my boring life... So instead, to celebrate, I'll just let my mind wander where it wants!
It was an After Christmas Miracle!!!! Robb's car started this morning! It's been in the heated garage for 36 hours. Last night the starter was still just clicking, but this morning it roared to life! Robb backed it out of the garage and let it warm up while he shoveled the snow from underneath it out of the garage. My garage is big soupy mess right now. I guess we'll leave the heater on longer to dry it up a bit.
I dropped off some danishes to the local service guy who gave us the idea. He seemed surprised!
Maddy made several dozen cookies last night in addition to some fudge for something either at school or for her after school job. We didn't get any of them... She was almost disappointed that she wasn't going to give him a ride to work because she was counting on him helping her carry things. Robb did her the honor of helping her carry it all to her car this morning. After that she's on her own!
There was a kids cartoon several years ago called Bobby's World with most of the voices being Howie Mandel. We watched it every morning with the kids. One song that this little animated boy sang was "The fish don't stink! Under the water, the Fish don't stink!"
Every now and then we sing it just for fun. Well, that and Bobby's Transportation Rap.... "Planes, trains and taxi cabs! All the choices HIP!" But this morning as I walked past the cat's litter box, I found myself singing softly to myself... "The cats don't stink. Under the water, the cats don't stink!"
Is that creepy?
I took all the ornaments off the tree and from around the house last night. Still more to go and still have to get the tree packed back up. I'd really like to get the cords fixed tho first before it gets put away completely... Maybe I'll just put those two pieces out into the car tomorrow and take them to a guy...
We're supposed to have a warm snow melting couple of days this weekend! And not just in our garage. It'll do my heart good to see the cement of our driveway again. That stupid blizzard had a lot of the snow packed down and frozen good before we had a chance to snowblow it, so the drive isn't really looking it's best. Maybe I could do what the kids used to do when cleaning their rooms and just throw some blankets over it. Nah.
My grandson is SO strong! He should fight crime! When he's in his walker, he can flip over the stools (which one has broken now thanks to him), pull over the garbage can, open the oven AND open the dishwasher when it's running... We're going to baby proof a wee bit more this weekend...
The actual Diet Dr Pepper syrup that I ordered for our Soda Stream came yesterday and I had to do some Algebra to make sure I had the proportions right in mixing it with the carbonated water. Not too bad! I may add a little less next time and be more careful when pouring it into the water. It was like having Mentos in Diet Coke in there last night... messy.
Looking forward to getting some of the Sweetheart ball dress done tomorrow! I'm going to carve a few hours in the afternoon tomorrow to sew, I hope.
Well, to work, to work. I hope you all have a wonderful Friday and weekend! Next week, it'll be a full 5 days. yuck. But for now I'll just celebrate that IT'S FRIDAY!!!!

WOW that was a lot to say!
Just wait till your grandson starts watching tv. Right now, I think I've seen every episode of Bubble Guppies and I find myself singing songs from it all the time.
I think I need to start watching something else....
I am so glad that you got the car running. There is always something to worry about.
My brother used to drive a diesel (not sure if that's what your hubby's truck is) and he had to plug it in at night to keep it from freezing during the winter months!
School starts back up tomorrow. Constantly running around this last week. I need a nap.
