Looking Jazzy!

On Saturday morning, Maddy's Jazz band performed at highschool a little ways away.  I got the last hand stitching on her sweetheart ball dress done on the drive.  Meri and Leon got a nap.

As usual, Mad's band got a 1, which is good!  It's not an actual competition, like who got best place, but I'm sure if they did, then we did... 

If I can upload this thing, this was their last song of the set.  I think I liked it best out of the three they played.  It will be interesting to see how they perfect it by the time they go to State, which they're already planning to do!

Leon threw papers in my way as I filmed and then did some vocal accompaniment where he could.  Maddy has a solo on the vibes about 1.7 minutes into it.  The girl who did her hair for Sweetheart did a Bass guitar solo and another friend did an awesome drum solo, in which he lost a stick which hair friend had to retrieve while he used his hand as a substitute... 

 I didn't notice but Robb told me about it later.

Afterwards, we hung out in the cafeteria until the band came back for snacks.  Leon had a great time using the seats for drums and bonking his head on the undersides of the tables.  

Then of course, hugging up to Aunty M!
