Robot Evacuations

On Saturday after my sewing meeting, I scrambled to get to Meri's piano clinic on time.  Missed it by 10 minutes!!!  It was a narrow window...  Right after that I took Meri and Leon and headed to the nearby college campus JUST in time to see my nephew's 4H team compete in the State Lego Robotics Championships!   He's the older one with the 'stache...

Meri and Leon hung out in the bleachers until it was time to crowd around the robotic table!

The goal was to program a lego robot to complete at least 6 tasks within 2.5 minutes.  Josh was in several robotic performances all day.  

 

 Josh's team came in second in the state overall!  He was pretty stoked...  

Apparently they're training these kids to someday man a moon rover remotely...  And I think at least one of them will NOT get to work for NASA but will instead be a total trouble maker.  Because just after Josh's team completed, someone pulled the fire alarm and we all had to evacuate the building...
