Thirteen is The Luckiest!

My baby turned 13 years old yesterday!!!  

On the way to church she kept antagonizing me on purpose, I guess to test her new teenage limits.  And since it's her birthday, I kept a little list of things to argue with her on Monday about.  We'll get to that list tonight I'm sure...

 

And as you can tell was extremely amused by her little joke on me.  As she opened a package from her Dad and myself that contained about 10 different Nancy Drew computer games that she'd asked for, she kept a straight face and said as miserably as possible, "But I really wanted a Dancerella doll..."

WHAT?!

And then she cracked herself up.  The background of the Dancerella doll is here.  I have been mean in the past...

 

 She also got a pitch pipe.  WHY?!  Because she and Maddy are huge fans of a movie called Pitch Perfect.  I've only seen the barfing scenes, but apparently the girls in the movie use the pitch pipes to start a song.

Since she is not fond of cake, we always get her an ice cream cake from the DQ.

And since we didn't have candles, we used the universal candle.  The number of candles left lit indicate how many boyfriends you have and Meri wanted to ensure that she at least had one.

 

I love that girl!  I hope she has a 13th year full of wonderfully happy surprises!
