I'm the MEAN Grandma...

So last night before I left for a sewing meeting, I got to spend a little time with my best boy, Leon.  I ate my supper in the living room watching him play.  He was going to eat later with everyone else and I was going to take off soon.

He climbed up in my lap and I gave him little bits of food.  He hugged up to me, gave me sloppy open mouthed kisses, begged for more and then suddenly started pointing to the other couch something fierce!

I put him down and he ran (walked clumsily but quickly) over where his mommy's dog, Butter was laying on the other couch.  Butter is the only dog that I can somewhat tolerate in the living room...  She's a short haired Beagle/Rat Terrier mix.  And will only have accidents in the house if people forget to let her outside regularly.. or if it's super cold outside and she can't stay out for very long.

So anyway, Leon got to the couch and pointed at Butter.  Pointing is his thing right now and his only way of communicating.  Well, that and the word TSSEEEEEE!  Not exactly what that word means but it sounds a lot like Kitty.

Leon wanted to kiss Butter and the only way he knows how is to give big open mouth kisses.  He opened his mouth wide and leaned.  Butter loves him right back and leaned into the kiss too.  Her nose almost all the way into Leon's mouth before I saw what was happening and I yelled, "NO!!! LEON!!  Don't let Buttter put her nose in your mouth!!!"

Leon's chin started to quiver and his pout came out in full force and then he burst into tears.  I got Butter out of the living room and then snuggled with Leon some more to calm him down.

Being a kid is SO hard!  And I'm such a MEAN MEAN Grandma...

That pouty face along with quiver lips make ME want to cry when Nora does that. You're a good grandmama.

AW a little dog snot isn't going to hurt him. Or at least I hope not. Millie likes to lick it off the back door window :op
