McVal Hillbilly Days!!!

We had to take one of the cats, whose name is D.C., to the vet yesterday morning.  I need to go pick him up soon.  D.C. can stand for just about anything bad you want it to, because it will not stand for anything good... If you knew D.C....

Anyway, due to some unfortunately events, D.C. was getting an operation, no two!  He will never be a Daddy and will never scratch up our furniture again...

I did price it and it would only be $55 to do another procedure that would take care of ALL our problems with this pet...

Have you ever seen the movie Mousehunt?  Well, if you did, then you'd know what I was talking about when I say Catzilla...

Meri gathered up D.C. and we put him in a Sam's Club sized diaper box and duct taped the lid shut quick. That darn cat (one of the meanings of his name) stuck him arm out the side holes, head out the top and freaked out Leon!  as well as myself, I might add!  He tore himself out of the box like that Uma got out of the coffin in Kill Bill part 2, or was it 3?  whatevs...

So, Meri caught him again and we put him in a laundry basket.  I topped it off with a rectangular lid from a blanket box and then duct taped it into place.

Duct tape can be our friend!

After I dropped off Meri at school and Leon at daycare, I took the cat out to the vet.  As I walked in the door carrying my impromptu cat carrier, the ladies looked at me and it with much amusement..

It's my Hillbilly Kitty Karrier!  She will sell me one of the $5 cardboard ones for the way home...

Ha! Looks like a perfect carrier to me. I must be a genuine hillbilly.

Hey it worked and besides, if he can get out of a diaper box, I think he'll be able to get out of the cardboard carrier ;)

my mom always ziptied(those white ones) two laundry baskets together and used that. Worked and when she got home she still had her laundry baskets
