Sewing To Do list

Things I want to sew...

Simplicity had a sale last week.  5 patterns for $5...  Meri and I couldn't pass THAT up!  I know... I know!  I already have more patterns than I need for 5 bonfires...  But to have a new uncut one is special.  It gives you that sense of wonderment... You know it!  I wonder what I will look like in this...   Probably not as chesty as the model... but I could still rock this outfit!!   And now since the last sewing meeting where we fit pants, I "kind of" know what I'm doing.  Here's hoping!!

Meri picked out this one for herself.  Maybe she and I will make it for her Easter dress.  Not sure which one on the pattern she was actually interested in, but probably the navy blue.

I have actually made this one!  And love it!  I even wore it yesterday.  It's a shorter version because I didn't have a lot of fabric on hand for it.  So it's not a full tunic.  But I love the neckline and 3/4 inch sleeves and cuff.  SO easy to make and I even won a ribbon for it at the County Fair level.  But that was kind of easy since, as you know... I was competing with myself.  I'd love to make a few more of these.  I would add pockets this time too.

But first things first!  I've got to get a sample dress of the following for Maddy's prom dress.  Sunday will be the day I think!  Gotta get Leon past his birthday party...

And probably down for a nap.  HIM not me!  Too much to sew, so little time...

I love the patterns you choose. I never sew for myself. Never. I don't know why. I hate trying on clothing so you'd think I'd try to sew something especially for my body type. No. maybe one day.

I would love one of those tunics...with two deep pockets, cause you have to have pockets,

One of these days I am going to sit down and teach my self how to sew from a pattern but in the mean time I will live through you

Good choices. I saw that sale, but I resisted by refusing to set food in the store. LOL!

I find that I'm drawn to a lot of the Khaliah Ali designs.

Happy Sewing!
