Belting It Out Irish Style

Ran the snow blower this morning... Didn't want to, but if it's my only exercise besides pulling a baby out of the dog food or picking up cat poo... it'll do..

He loves Duke...

Maddy and Leon at the Oklahoma play on Saturday.  Maddy did NOT get the tumbleweed part like she wanted, so she settled for a girl in the chorus.

My nieces that attend college near by came up for the play.  Meri was sick, so our little friend Ann joined us for the show.  She'd already seen it the night before and sang along with all the songs.

Then we attended the 5th school event since Thursday last night.  Meri had a dolo, which is a duet, but we really only want to hear her voice.  She sang Suila Ruin, which is an Irish song that we've sung around the house ever since Lord of the Dance came out in the 90s!  LOVE that song!

Here is our middle school's rendition.  Meri starts singing about 2 minutes into it.

Below is the actual song from a show we very well may have been at, but it probably wasn't the Iowa performance...  We were big fans.

Maddy was in charge of the camera because Leon was being clingy.  She recorded all the performances until the memory ran out on my camera.  As I mentioned, I've been to 5 school events and haven't had a chance to download anything until this morning.  And as luck would have it, we sat behind some tall people...

Leon attends all with us.  He's kind of unpredictable at times, but when the music starts, he really focuses in and loves it!  I think he's going to be very musical.  You should hear him bang the pots and pans in the kitchen!

Made some more of my sugar free cream soda this morning.  I think I'm losing weight.  Not exactly sure where or how much.  My scale is all wonky because the top cover has broken and Leon likes to bend the little doo daddy around.

Looking forward to some weather in the 40s this weekend!!!  Got me some spring fever...

Yea, that snow is suppose to hit here tonight. Makes me wish I had a snow blower too. Instead there will be PLENTY of cars in the driveway ;o)

Meri has a beautiful voice. Nice that Leon has such great exposure to musical events. You are a wonderful grandma!

Such a beautiful song, and Meri looks so confident (well, of course.. if she's been singing it for-evah!) ;) This is my kind of music. Leon is such a cutie, and it sounds like he keeps ya just a little busy :) -Tammy

Wow she is good. And I think I heard Leon trying to sing too. Or was that a whine?
