A Marathon Of Snacks

Meri had her Walking Dead Marathon on Saturday and had such a good time!  Two other girls and two boys were able to come, so it was her first boy/girl party.

She had gotten about $40 worth of treats, pop and snacky things and heaped them on the table for them all...

Robb and I had brought down our big screen tv to the living room and they watched them on that.  Some played the Walking Dead tv game on the other tv with a rifle that resembles the gun from Nintendo's old Duck Hunt.  I'm sure it's the same type of technology...

Early that morning, I had made 6 precooked pizza crusts and selected the best 3.  For some reason I didn't add enough flour to a couple of the bread machines.  I guess my mind was elsewhere...  Was able to sew for a while until time to make lunch.

The kids snarfed it up and instead of going back to the marathon, went for a walk outside and ended up down at our creek.  They came back muddy...  BUT we now have a dam in the creek and stories of how one of them climbed to the other side and pretended to be Gollum.  Crazy kids!

When they were in the house, Leon spent some time with them and they loved him.  Whew!  Gave me more time to sew!

Later on when I came downstairs, I got into a deep conversation with one of the boys about the Mad Max movies....  Apparently there's a new one coming out!  I was surprised he'd seen all 3 of them...  REALLY??  What are they rated??!

Anyway, they all left around 5 and Meri thought that was the best party she'd ever had.  And the best group of kids to invite.

I love it when my kids are happy.  And there's leftover snacks...

Love having 'built-in' babysitters in the house. Even better when they bring their friends ;o)

Those Mad Max movies were not my favorites. I don't like movies where family members get killed. Hmmm. I love Gladiator and The Patriot so that must be a lie. There must be another reason. ;)
