Black Thumb Blooming...

I don't like to say that I have a "Green Thumb".  No one says that about me really...  I'm more of the "Black Thumb" variety...

My raised garden, installed when Green was thought to be my color,  is a strange weed heap and has been for the past 3 years.  This year, with the inspiration of the Haphazard Homesteader, I decided I would plan ahead and purchased seeds for bush beans and leaf lettuce.

I had found a plant lamp at a garage sale several years ago and plugged it in with the little pots underneath.  They grew nicely for a while...  Whenever I remembered, I added water to the pan under them because I've been known to over water things.

I know... You're shocked!

Anyway, this is what I found this morning in a pot that should have contained a bean plant...  *and there was one up until last week!*

In case you missed it, it's in the upper left-ish area...

Is this bad?

It made me laugh!
The pros talk about how hard it is to grow mushrooms, I think you've proved them wrong. Once, I hadn't cleaned the boys bathroom in a few weeks and when I did get around to cleaning it, I had mushrooms growing between the floor and the bathtub! Yea, it says a lot about my house keeping skills :o)

You sound like me! Brown thumb, black thumb. It really doesnt' matter. It's not green! Mushrooms are good...if they're not poisonous.
