Jazz Is Our Life

End of the year concerts!  Meri's 7th grade band and jazz band concert was on Tuesday night.  Maddy and I hung out with Leon in the old gym before it started, hoping to wear him out by letting him run wild.
In the final 10 minutes before the concert, we found our seats again and the people around us wondered if he'd ever sit down and shut up!  Or if they should move...  As SOON as the band started, he did!  He sat up straight and watched them with interest.  Leaned back on me to listen and then started snoring throughout the entire rest of the performances...

Usually puppies are born during an end of the year performance...  Ellie was just too early!!
Puppy fix via "Puppy Mound"  They're growing by leaps and bounds and their eyes are open now!  Two weeks old and I very well may have to start closing the door on their nest.  They're starting to crawl.

Below is the Jazz band and Meri's solo in the middle of it.  She did a great job!  A little quiet, but that's ok.  The high school jazz band teacher was sitting right behind us, checking out the upcoming talent.  He likes her!

Next Tuesday is Maddy's concert.  Then the final combined vocal concert sometime in May when the 7/8th graders will sing with all of the high school.  Siblings hugging each other during the song and tears flowing like mad.

I'm going to be a wreck.

I can't believe they are getting out this soon with all the snow you had!?!?!
You're right her solo was soft but what I did hear was great!

It is never a dull moment at your house. I secretly think that if you did have down time you would try and find something to do.
